Equipment Use Rules

UPTV equipment may only be used for programming that will be cablecast on UPTV.   If you use UPTV equipment, your project must appear on UPTV before it is broadcast on any other media outlet or to an audience.

Late Field Equipment Return Procedure

If a member fails to return the checked out equipment by the specified date and time, UPTV staff will:

      - Contact the member via phone requesting return of the equipment.

      - Send a written notice informing the member of a minor violation.

If the member does not directly contact a UPTV staff member and return the equipment within 24 hours, a police report will be filed and the member will incur a major violation.

Additional Equipment Procedures

The member that requests an equipment reservation must be the member that checks out and returns the equipment.  

Members are encouraged to give at least 24 hours advance notice by email or phone when cancelling any equipment reservations.  If a member is more than 30 minutes late without notification, the reservation may be cancelled and the member will incur a minor violation. 

Only members who have been trained on UPTV equipment may operate checked out equipment.
